Here we go...
In this blog, I would like to combine new knowledge of the Web and how it can be incorporated into physical education, and teaching in general. This is the first blog that I have created, and my only previous experience with them has been as a reader. In all honesty, I have only seen "social" blogs and I viewed them as a bit pretentious and "silly." After beginning to read Richardson's book, I see that blogs can be a great educational tool. I also really like the tools that can used on them, such as polling and comment posting.

Sounds like you have a positive outlook on this experience. I am curious to see what we both find in regards to physical education. I can see some cool benefits of reflection from students on a blog, and Richardson mentioned a fitness/nutrition log. Good ideas; implementing and time are another story. Look forward to reading more of your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with you about blogs being a great educational tool, if students are taught how to use blogs correctly by writing to an audience so that they don't seem boring to read. As Ian has said, I am axious to find ways to use blogs and the web 2.0 web tools in physical education.
